Ok then..so there are rumours flying around about the Boardroom skatepark closing down.I will try and put your mind at rest and explain what is happening before these chinese whispers start to get out of hand. . . On tuesday 19th August a Live broadcast went out on BBC east midlands today, which was done in the evening. And also a front cover spread in the leicester Mercury re: Generation/development of the old Corah's building in which we are located.Obviously with all the New buildings that are sprouting up in Leicester City Centre, then it was inevitable that this at some point would be up for redevelopment to Co incide with everything else that is happening ie; New Haymarket theatre and of course The Highcross centre(Old Shires).Plans for a £200 million complex have only been submitted at this stage and nothing has actually been given the go ahead as such.Whilst the tenants WERE NOT INFORMED,i have later been in contact with my landlord and he has told me that nothing could happen for at least 2years.I am not saying it won't happen sooner,BUT i want to Assure you ALL that The Boardroom Skatepark will NOT be closing down for the forseeable future.
So please, i ask you all to keep supporting the skatepark as much as you can,now and in the future.
thanks for reading.
Dave.
